The AI Center for Civic and Social Good serves San José State University (SJSU), San José Public Library (SJPL), and the broader San José community as a shared space for learning, collaboration, and access to artificial intelligence and related technologies.
Through instruction, hands-on experiences, exhibitions, and public programs, the AI Center supports responsible innovation and equitable access to artificial intelligence for civic and social good.
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library is committed to providing equitable access to the AI Center for individuals and groups affiliated with the King Library, SJSU, the City of San José, and the CSU to foster community engagement and support the Library's mission. This room is NOT available for standing meetings, fundraising activities, activities involving financial transactions, programs and courses without clear AI or related focus, or recurring events or series. Due to the high demand for the AI Center, room tours are by appointment only. These rooms may be scheduled on a one-time-use basis by community groups that meet the set requirements.
Rooms need to be reserved at least two weeks in advance to ensure setup and media support.
